Extended School & Enrichment Programme

St Michaels & All Angels is an ‘extended school’, which allows us to provide a range of services and activities outside of the traditional school day to help meet the needs of our students.

The Academy offers an extensive enrichment programme, with a range of activities which includes: sports; music, creative and performing arts; outdoor pursuits; community events, end of year celebrations, parenting programmes, events for senior citizens and a range of support groups and citizenship programmes.

Departments provide a vast array of extra-curricular activities to enrich learning for our students. These include a wide variety of trips and educational visits outside school, plus those held on the Academy premises– such as curriculum support activities held for students during the School Holidays.

The concerts organised by the Music and Drama Department (which students, staff, parents and the wider community are invited to attend) are hugely popular.

The PE department run teams in a wide variety of sports to enable our students to enjoy participating in competitive sporting activities.

We fully expect parents/carers to share our commitment to a rich extra-curricular programme and actively encourage their children to participate in activities to broaden their experiences and develop additional skills within the safe environment at St Michael & All Angels.
