Homework

Homework is a vital part of a student’s learning process and must be seen as part of the normal Academy day.

At St Michael & All Angels Academy we believe in strong links between school and home. Homework is an important part of this link, and parents can support their child’s learning through homework.

Parents should monitor and support homework in the family environment, and are encouraged to check the ‘Homework Diary Section’ of their son/daughter’s Student Planner weekly to know what homework is set and that it is being done correctly and handed in on time.

The Academy further supports students’ homework with lunchtime/after-school Homework Clubs during term-time, plus Mid-Term Support Classes, Easter Revsion and Summer School through our ‘Extended School’ provision.
